Last week after the Ash Wednesday Mass, Barb, Mike and I were discussing the sound system, specifically, the missing sound profiles for the 5:30 and 9 AM Masses. We've all been using the 11 AM profile, which has been causing problems. Luckily, the missing profiles have finally been found -- we'll definitely need to tweak the levels a bit to get the balance right, but other than that, we should be good to go!
A few general notes: first, we'll be using verses 1-3 of 'Whatsoever You Do' again this week, but will be switching to different sets of verses in the coming weeks. If anyone has a chance to work on the harmonies, that would really add to the piece.
Second, for 'Hold Us In Your Mercy', we need to make sure to keep the tempo up to prevent dragging. This wasn't an issue last week, but do keep in mind that Father tends to slow down slightly on the verses and we don't want to loose our starting tempo.
Finally, for the Lamb of God, remember that we're doing the verses a bit differently for Lent. We'll start and end with the standard 'Lamb of God...' verse, while using the alternate text listed at the bottom of the page for the repeats in the middle. It almost sounded like some of us were signing different verses at the same time, but I could be wrong.
