The Advent Planning Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, 11/16 at 7 PM. As it stands now, I'm planning to attend. I'm also hoping to have the music for Christ the King picked in the next week or so. Stay tuned for an email on this.
Ginny brought to my attention that it looks like the Christmas Eve Mass schedule has changed yet again (at least, according to the Eucharistic Minister sign-ups). As you recall, in the past, there were two Masses at 4 PM (Church & Parish Hall), two at 6 PM (Church & Parish Hall) and one at 8 PM (Church), as well as a Christmas Day service. In the old days, we covered the 4 PM Parish Hall liturgy, and more recently, the 6 PM. The Mass with a Children's Choir is usually the 4 PM in the Church.
It looks like the new schedule is as follows: two Masses at 4 PM (Church & Parish Hall), one at 6 PM (Church), one at 8 PM (Church) and one Christmas Day. This is a change that was discussed last year due to the lower attendance at the 6 PM and 8 PM Masses, as compared to 4 PM. I'm not sure how this will play out as far as coverage, but will keep you posted.
All the songs should be familiar this week. A cantor is still needed for the Psalm, though. Since the Psalm is the same as the one from last week, 'I Rejoiced', might I suggest it be done the same way and with the same cantors?
