Father made an unexpected change to our program for Mass on 12/26, which included a Baptism. He swapped out our Gathering song, 'Angels We Have Heard on High', with Killoren's 'Hosanna, Glory'. This song is normally used by the 11 AM folks for Baptisms. Ginny was able to find the music in the blue folders. We may want to 're-add' this to our repertoire since it's a fun, easy piece.
Mass for the Feast of Mary, Mother of God is this Thursday, 12/31 at 5:30 PM. Barb's group is covering, so feel free to join them.
I selected the music for January on Tuesday and sent it to the Office for approval. As always, I'll let you know if there are any changes, but the music I have down for this week is below.
I have 'Let There Be Peace on Earth' listed again as a prelude. Last week's very simple arrangement seemed to work well; perhaps we may want to expand on that a bit this go around.
I also have 'Brightest and Best' down as a Communion Meditation. Since we've put in the time to learn this one, we might as well use it one more time. Plus, it's technically an Epiphany piece anyway and is on the list of suggested songs for this week :-)
