Thanks for all the responses thus far on availability for the Holy Week Masses! As you know, our group is covering the 2 PM Good Friday service as well as the 9 AM (Parish Hall) Easter Sunday Mass.
Just as a reminder, please plan to meet one hour before both services to setup and run the programs. For Good Friday, Jonathan and Tom will be covering guitar, with Joanne (from the 11 AM Mass) on piano. For Easter Sunday, Jim and Maggie have instruments covered.
Instrumentalists, for Mass on Sunday, if you could please bring music stands and (if you have them) your own books, that would be great -- we'll be sharing materials/equipment with the folks in the Church.
Barb's group will be covering Holy Thursday (3/24 at 7 PM) and Easter Vigil (3/26 at 8:30 PM) -- feel free to join them!

First, keep in mind that the beginning of the service is a bit different than a normal Mass. There will be an Opening Rite (no Gathering song) followed by an Opening Prayer and the First Reading. The Psalm will follow the First Reading.
'Were You There' will be done the same way as it was on Saturday, with verses sung before, during and after the reading of the Passion.
For 'Behold the Wood', our first Veneration song, remember that Father will sing "behold, behold the wood of the cross, on which was hung our salvation" three times as the cross is brought up the isle and stopped at three different points. We respond with "o come, let us adore" each time. After the cross has reached the front, we'll start the song from the beginning. Last year, we got through all the verses.
'Jesus, the Lord' will immediately follow as our second Veneration song. We also got through all the verses last year. We've had issues with the tempo on this one in the past, so please watch.
'Calvary' will serve as our Communion song. If possible, let's do this with voices only. This is a gospel tune, but we also want to be respectful of what Good Friday is all about when singing it.
Finally, 'Jesus, Remember Me' is on the board as a second Communion song. We usually don't need a second song, so it'll probably serve as an instrumental Closing instead while the ministers and congregation depart in silence. That's what we were asked to do last year.

'Easter Alleluia' should make for a fun, light prelude. We dabbled with this on Saturday, but didn't finalize an arrangement. This is one we should definitely look at before Mass.
Note that we'll be re-introducing both the Gloria and regular Gospel Acclamation on Sunday.
Jim will cantor 'This is the Day', but we'll only use the first three verses. At our practice last week, we decided to nix the troublesome fourth verse.
'Morning Has Broken' has been moved from its traditional place as Gathering song to Offertory. Offertory is typically pretty short in the Parish Hall, so I felt this would be a better place for it. Jim will be playing the Cat Stevens arrangement, with a key change on the third verse.
Killoren's 'Whom Do You Seek' will be used for Communion. We'll use the written arrangement, including the men/women split on the verses. We have copies of the sheet music on our side of the choir cabinet.
The rest of the tunes are familiar and shouldn't require much prep.
That's all I have for now. Good Friday will definitely be the more challenging of our two programs, especially since we haven't run it yet. Please look over those tunes if any are unfamiliar.
