Good news: as of last week, we now have a couple of leads on pianists! I've reached out to one of them so far, and once I know more, I'll send out an update.
After Mass, I also spoke to some folks (Francis and Anita) who are new to the Parish and are interested in singing with the choirs. Hopefully, they'll join us in the near future!
Since we were discussing rehearsals, this reminded me to check with Barb about removing our 7-8 PM practice from the Bulletin schedule. We haven't been sticking around much lately, so I see no reason to leave it on the master schedule. Our regular 4:30 PM practice will listed instead.
Let's make it a point to look at the Penitential Rite briefly before Mass. Father ended up doing it, but it wasn't in the program and we ran out of time to go through it beforehand. Sorry for any confusion on this.
'All the Ends of the Earth' will serve as our Psalm. We'll do it as written, but repeat the refrain twice the first time so it matches the regular format. The text is based on Psalm 98, the suggested psalm for this week.
'In the Breaking of the Bread' is definitely one we should spend a little extra practice time on. Last week, the tempo felt uneven and we weren't particularly confident singing it. If you have a chance to review this before this weekend, that would be great!
