For the second weekend in a row, Bev tried playing with the piano propped open. I also moved to a different position with better line-of-site to accommodate this. Not sure if this is necessary moving forward, but we can experiment and see what works best.
We also tried adding an a capella refrain to the end of Shepherd of My Heart, but ended up not having a chance to use it during Mass. Let's keep this in mind for next time.
Another quick Christmas update: Jim will be tied up with a family commitment, and won't be able to join us Christmas Eve. Assuming Jonathan is available to play, our guitar section should still be in good shape. Having piano will also help fill in any gaps. If anyone else is unable to be there, please give me a heads up so we can plan accordingly.
A reminder that we have another monthly dinner on the board for 11/25. If that still works for everyone, I'll put out a signup later this week.
During practice, I'd suggest spending a bit of extra time on Blest Are Those Who Love You and City of God. The former is a Psalm we don't use too often; the latter is familiar, but the arrangement can be a bit confusing.
Jim, Joe and I are out, so I'm leaving things in Maggie and Bev's capable hands. After this Saturday, I should be at Masses regularly through the end of the year (barring any winter weather, of course). Feel free to ping me with any questions; otherwise, I'll leave you guys to it!
