Songs for Saturday, December 28, 2013

Note: not posted or emailed out until after the fact due to an Internet outage at my house.

This final Saturday of the year is the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph.

I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the holiday!

Thank you all for a great Christmas Eve mass on Tuesday, and for all your hard work in putting it together! Things seemed to go very smoothly despite all our concerns with the tight schedule. As some of you know, Karina and I worked the 4 PM Children's mass as well, which ended up being pretty crazy (the Church was well over capacity), but lots of fun.


As Jim mentioned earlier this week, our program for mass on Saturday is almost exactly the same as Christmas Eve, but with one addition (the Psalm, which was dropped from Christmas Eve mass for time). Jim will also take care of picking music for the following Saturday, January 4th. After that, we'll need someone to make selections for the remainder of that month -- any takers?

Also, if someone would be interested in taking on the Psalm or Alleluia, let me know. I did quite a bit of cantoring on Tuesday, so I'd prefer not to do any more myself this week. Jim will cover the Psalm, while Karina will take on the Alleluia.

Jonathan is out this week along with Barry and at least half our singers, so there will not be practice after mass. Join us for mass if you can!
