Despite being down two melodic instruments and a bit light on singers, mass last week was probably our strongest in a while. Lisa and I harmonized on the Psalm and we nailed down a fairly solid arrangement for 'Canticle of the Turning', which we'll do again in a few weeks. My audio recorder ended up shutting off right before Offertory, though, so I missed capturing the last few songs (grrrr...). Thanks as always to everyone who was able to be there!
Jim, Lisa K., Ginny and I briefly stuck around after mass to take a quick look at the Psalm for this week, 'I Will Walk in the Presence of God'. Lisa and I cantored this once before back in March. Lisa, Karina and I are out this week, so Ginny is tentatively planning to cover this. We did look into alternatives since this piece has some funky notes and rhythms, but there really weren't any other good options, so we'll give this one a shot.
