We didn't make it to mass on Saturday last week, so I don't have too many updates.
I know this point has been raised before, but Father Charlie reminded Ginny and I after our Pastoral Council meeting last Wednesday that, if nothing else, our song entrances need to be strong so the congregation knows when to start singing.
Also, Father mentioned that a woman considering joining the Parish is a pianist, and if she decides to become a member, he'll try to send her our way. Obviously, that's a lot of 'ifs', but considering we haven't had any luck recruiting anyone so far, I'm conservatively hopeful of that possibility.
Our Psalm this week, 'Be With Me', is one we haven't done in quite a while. The refrain is call-and-response and would work best with two cantors (any takers?). If you're not familiar with this and/or our Offertory song, 'We Are Called to Serve', please look them over before Saturday.
Finally, since I'm a bit out-of-the-loop, instrumentalists, please let me know of your availability this week so we can make sure there's coverage. Thanks!
