Thanks to those who were able to attend rehearsal and bring food last week -- it was a nice spread! We had a chance to touch on quite a few of the more tricky songs for this week. For those of you who asked for sheet music or recordings of specific songs, everything should be below. If anything's missing, feel free to let me know.
The program for Good Friday is below (also here). Rehearsal is at 12:30 PM in the Church, with the Liturgy at 2 PM. Please note the addition of one prelude (thanks Eva!).
Father has requested some instrumental music at the very end of the Service, as the ministers and congregation disperse. Depending on how long the Veneration and Communion take, we may be able to use The Cross of Jesus or Jesus, Remember Me for this. I'm not anticipating a huge crowd, so I'm thinking Calvary alone should be enough for Communion.
Jim, Tom, Maggie, Joe, Ginny, Lisa and several others are out. Eva is cantoring. Tim will be covering piano,

The program for Easter Sunday is below. Let's plan to meet at 7:45 AM in the Parish Hall, with Mass at 9 AM.
Since we'll be in the Hall, if you could bring your own music stands, materials and equipment (as needed), that would be great! I'll see about borrowing books from the Church either Saturday night (after Vigil) or Sunday morning before rehearsal.
We'll have very limited rehearsal time, so please arrive on time and try to get set up as quickly as possible. I'd definitely like to look at the Mass Parts, Resucito, Wade in the Water and Whom Do You Seek?. The rest of the program I'm not too concerned about.
Tim and Eva are out. I did touch base with Chris W. (from the 9 AM Choir) about piano coverage, but he'll be out-of-town. It's still possible Chris may find someone from his School of Music contacts to send our way, but I would assume a guitar-based Mass to be safe.
If we don't have piano, I'll probably drop Resucito. We could do something fun and familiar like Easter Alleluia or Lift Up Your Hearts instead. I think having strong accompaniment on the Mass Parts is more critical than preludes at this point. Regardless, looking forward to a fun Mass!
Preludes:
GC3 #535 – Resucito
Materials (sheet music)
Gathering:
SS #179 – He is Exalted
Materials (audio) (sheet music)

GC3 #898 – Wade in the Water

Barb's group is covering the 7 PM Holy Thursday and 8:30 PM Easter Vigil Masses. If you're available to help out, come join in the singing! Will pass along details as I get them.
That's all I have for now. Thanks again for putting up with all the extra emails and practices, and if I don't see you, have a wonderful Easter weekend!
