Our music for June has been approved with a few tweaks (here). Please note the new Offertory song for next Saturday, 06/10. Father would like to start introducing new songs to take advantage of the expanded contents of Gather, Third Edition, so just be aware that you may see more of this in the coming months.
If you haven't already taken a look at Spirit Blowing Through Creation, please do so before the weekend. As a reminder, I'd like to meet at 4 PM so we have some extra time to prepare this.

I know you guys did Holy Spirit last week, but it's also a really good fit for Pentecost. We'll be doing verses 3-6 since these are specifically written for Pentecost. Plus, we rarely make it past verse three, so this should mix things up a bit.
I had originally listed We Come Today as our Communion song for the month, but it looks like we'll only be doing it for the first two weeks. We did this song once before for about a month, but Father has concerns that the refrain is too long for parishioners to remember as they're going up for Communion. I'd really like to make this part of our Communion repertoire, so anything we can do to help Father and/or the congregation become more familiar with it would be great.
Finally, just a reminder that it's Time and Talent weekend. Please wear RED for Pentecost, and if you're able to stick around to help recruit new musicians, that would be much appreciated. Folks tend not to linger very long after Saturday Mass, so this shouldn't be a big time commitment. There might even be food :-)
