The only real issue we ran into was the Communion song (here) -- we should definitely take some time to sort out that instrumental intro, and make sure we stick with a slower tempo.

Good news: Barb has a potential lead on a pianist. She's looking into whether this individual is a viable option, so I don't want to go into details right now, but will keep you in the loop.
Anya's Baptism is this week. We'll use Killoren's Hosanna, Glory for Gathering (no regular Gloria), and Wade in the Water for the Sprinkling Rite (Maggie, would you be interested in cantoring?). The rest of the program is more-or-less normal.
As you know, Jim, Jonathan, Maggie and Joe will be tied up with a Group Therapy gig next Saturday, 08/26. Frances is onboard to play flute, and I'm working on sorting out accompaniment coverage (probably Tom and/or Eva). Since we'll be a bit short-handed, please let me know if you're also not able to make it.
Finally, another post-summer idea to consider: would there be interest in getting together perhaps once a month after Mass for dinner? We used to do this every week as part of after-Mass rehearsal, but it made for a really long night. The last time we did a dinner, it took on a life of its own and really came together well. Might make for a nice break in the routine, and a chance to hang out and socialize outside of practice.
