A few of us briefly looked at the psalm for this Saturday, but otherwise, we didn't practice.
For those unaware, Cindy played her final mass with us last week. It's been wonderful to have her onboard for the past several months and I can't thank her enough for everything she's done for our Ministry!
Ginny and Maggie are planning to duet on the Psalm, 'Our Blessing-Cup'.
Our Offertory song, 'Let Us Break Bread Together', has plenty of harmony potential. If we have the manpower, it might be fun to do this a capella.
As far as 'Look Beyond' goes, please review the rhythms on the verses, since each one is a bit different. I don't think we ran into any major issues with these last week, but we also didn't have much time to clean them up either. We also skipped over using the Coda -- the song seems to resolve just fine without it, but for the sake of 'following the ink', we may want to add that in this week.
Just a quick reminder that after this week, we'll be switching to one of the other Mass Settings. I don't know which one that'll be yet, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out. If we have a chance, we should definitely spend a little time reviewing the new Setting so we're not scrambling to sort it out before mass on 6/13.
Finally, per Jim's suggestion, let's plan to get together after mass on 6/13 to discuss 'the state of the choir' and figure out what we're going to do moving forward. If you're not able to be there, feel free to forward any thoughts or ideas to me. I'll also invite Father Charlie, since the changes we may need to make could directly affect mass.

UPDATE (6/3): Barb let me know this afternoon that for the Eucharistic Acclamation this week, we'll be using 'When We Eat This Bread' rather than 'Save Us, Savior'. Also, we'll switch to Mass of Creation starting on 6/13. Please be sure to review this in case we don't have a chance to rehearse it before then.
