Mass overall went pretty smoothly -- the only notable issue was Ginny and I both had trouble with the beginning of the third verse of the psalm, but Jonathan and Father where able to help us out.
If anyone is interested in cantoring the Psalm, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll tentatively plan to take it since we're down several singers this week.
Just a reminder that Father Charlie's Stewardship Kickoff event is coming up on 11/1. If anyone else is planning to attend, it would be nice for a small group of us to perform something for the talent show, even a simple, fun piece that we're all familiar with. It would be good exposure for the Ministry (perhaps we could recruit some new people), and a chance to perform a piece outside of the liturgical setting.
If you'd be up for something like this, let me know this week. We're only a couple of weeks out at this point, so if we're going to commit to doing something, it would need to be soon.
Lastly, Jesse Manibusan, a singer/songwriter and inspirational speaker, will be at Good Shepherd this Saturday at 7:30 PM. No practice again this week because of that event. If you're able to stick around, it sounds like it'll be an interesting talk.
