We also had the chance to work with singer/songwriter and inspirational speaker Jesse Manibusan, who was at Good Shepherd to to run both a morning retreat and evening presentation/concert. Jesse ended up leading us in singing our Offertory song, 'Open My Eyes', and also performed a post-Communion meditation piece, 'Sacred Silence'. It was a true pleasure to have him with us for the evening!
The music for November has been sent to the Office for approval, but Father Charlie is out most of this week, so I'm not expecting any changes to this week's program. Since November is Stewardship Month, we'll be doing 'The Summons' and 'We Are Called' as our Gathering and Closing songs for the next several weeks.
Our Psalm this week is 'We Long to See Your Face'. We haven't done this one in quite a while, so please look it over if unfamiliar. I've cantored or co-cantored for several weeks in a row, so if someone is familiar with this piece and would like to take it, please let me know.
Mass for All Souls Day is scheduled for Monday, November 2nd at 7 PM. If you're free that evening, the Office is looking for instrumental coverage.
