I finished selecting the music for Advent over the weekend and sent that to the Office Tuesday morning. Father approved it same-day with one change. I'll also pass along our Christmas program once that's been finalized (if you have any ideas, let me know!).
Thanksgiving Eve Mass will be held this evening at 7 PM. Barb's group is covering, so feel free to join them.
Just a reminder that we'll be re-introducing Mass of Joy & Peace this week. Please be sure to review that before Saturday. Note that we don't need to worry about the Gloria until Christmas Eve, and will be using the Penitential Rite until then. Also, we'll be using 'When We Eat This Bread' for the Eucharistic Acclamation.
Please let me know if you're planning to be at Mass on Saturday -- Tom is out this week, and Jim may also be tied up. I'm looking into finding some additional instrument coverage just in case.
Since it's a holiday, no rehearsal after Mass this week, but it would be good to get together next Saturday, 12/5, to begin working on music for Christmas. In all likelihood, we'll only have a few chances to get together between now and Christmas, so please plan to stick around.
Finally, huge thank you for everything you do for our Ministry! I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to make music with you guys every week, and really appreciate all the support you've given me! I hope everyone has a very blessed, happy Thanksgiving!
