Songs & Updates for Saturday, August 12, 2017
This Saturday is the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
For our first regular guitar Mass in quite a while, things went pretty well last week. There were a few minor communication issues, but I think those were mainly due to getting used to not having piano in the mix. Just a reminder to watch and listen to everyone around you so we're all on the same page.

This Saturday is the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Mass last week was very solid and definitely one of our strongest in a while! Everything went smoothly (even with a visiting priest) and I heard some excellent vocal and instrumental harmonies. It was great to have both Joe and Jonathan with us as well -- speaking of Joe, I'd like to officially welcome him back to the group as our percussionist!

This Saturday is the 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time.
There where a few rough patches here and there, but mass went fairly well last week. Huge thanks to Chip for being our solo guitarist and Jaclyn for singing with us for the past few months! Jaclyn won't be able to join us again until December.
We once again ran without microphones, since I got feedback the moment I pressed the un-mute button. The ambo microphone also didn't work, which caused issues when we did the Psalm.

This Saturday is the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time, and also a Baptism.
After mass last week, we briefly ran through a few songs, but we spent most of the hour discussing some problems that have arisen, and some potential changes to the way we do things. The relevant parts of that discussion are outlined below:

Songs for Saturday, August 10, 2013
This coming Saturday is the 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time.
Jim is out this week and next and Barry will be gone the remainder of the month. I believe Paul is planning to help us out in their absence, though.
Our Gathering song (GC 320) this week is a new one. It's a bit traditional for us, but fairly easy to learn. Sped up, it should work fine as an opening song. Our Psalm (GC 97) is also an unfamiliar one, but Karina has volunteered to learn (and cantor) it.
